The skeleton of Cheddar Man was found in 1903 in the Somerset region near the village of Cheddar in England. He lived about 9,100 years ago, making him one of the first people to repopulate the British Isles after the end of the last ice age. This appearance is considered typical of the people of Western Europe at that time.
